Is The Gm Diet An Effective Weight Loss Method?


The GM Diet plan, besides confessed as the General Motors diet, used to be absolutely popular in the 1980s and has managed to survive through the decades.
The rumor is that General Motors created this free diet plan for employees to help them lose weight and get healthy. A GM spokesperson denied that there was part truth to this rumor, but the agname stuck.
The diet is a 7 day plan that focuses on reducing calories and includes some outlandish foods. Since the true origin of the diet is uncharted, it is unclear why relating queer combinations of foods are used and what the instigation is behind some of the weird rules, conforming as the requirement to eat 6 tomatoes a day.
The diet menu and guidelines can be establish easily through an internet search, therefrom there is no need to go into details, but I do want to address whether the GM diet works or not.
There is no direct answer since the diet can be successful or not, depending on your goals.

This diet can easily help you to lose a few pounds quickly since it overmuch cuts calorie intake and is fully restrictive in what you can and cannot eat. This diet is not the best choice if you are looking to get fit, make muscle or to become healthier.
It is very restrictive hence that makes it fully tough to use the diet beyond 7 days and certainly it is not something that many people would want to keep doing for a long period of time. The diet may actually be unhealthy and hurt your long term weight loss efforts. It is fine to try the diet one time, which will probably result in the loss of a few pounds of water weight, but then it is smart to continue with a healthier and more reasonable diet for your long term weight loss.
The verdict is that the GM diet may be fine for a one time, 7 day, period, but for long term results it just doesn ' t prove effective.
